Museum of the capital justice system
History of capital justice and torture.
Katovna is located in the castle cellars where visitors are seated so they can listen to the interpretation of the history of guttural justice and torture in the Czech lands as well as neighboring countries. Visitors will be acquainted with the work of the executioner, who performed not only capital sentences, but also extracted confessions of the accused through torture. The courageous can touch the contemporary instruments of torture try some of them out on their own. Katovna is open from 1. 6. to 31.8.
